HISTORY: the general history of the PC in WoW can be found here. a more specific one for celdori is as follows.
Born to a High Elf Ranger and her tradesman husband, Celdori is the second youngest sibling out of four. Her childhood was happy and calm, up until around her thirteenth birthday. Her mother simply does not return from the forests around them; Celdori's family isn't given much time to wonder what happens to her before the zombie army called the Scourge descends upon Celdori's home β Silvermoon.
The fall of Silvermoon robs Celdori of the rest of her family, her home, and any sense of security she might have had. She witnesses the death of some of her siblings, hears the screams of drowning children, all while watching the city she calls home fall to pieces in the onslaught of undead. It's through sheer luck that she manages to live β trapped beneath some rubble and too scared to make a sound until the leader of the undead horde got what he came for; and in doing so he destroyed the heart of the high elves β the Sunwell; the magical well that was their source of power.
Crippled by her previously undiscovered addiction to magic that emerged with the destruction of said well, Celdori haunted the streets of Silvermoon along with so many others, squabbling for scraps of mana to keep her going for one more day. It's only when she hears of a group of knights founded by Lady Liadrin that her thoughts turn to revenge and her long-simmering anger bubbles to the surface. Lying about her age, Celdori joins the Blood Knights β warriors who used a sentient being made of the holiest energy in the Warcraft universe to give them the power to strike back at all who opposed them.
It's roughly at this time that the blood elves are welcomed into the Horde β one of two factions of allied races on Azeroth. They are the outsiders, the underdogs who struggle to find their place in the world. And while the "spikes everywhere" idea of decorating doesn't appeal to Celdori, she can't help but like the idea of belonging to something greater than herself.
It's around this time that Celdori herself ventures out of her homeland β taken under the wing of a Blood Knight named Lera who saw through her lies. Acting as the warcraft version of a squire, it's with Lera that Celdori works through her desire for revenge; by the time the two venture to Northrend to work with the Argent Crusade to end the undead army for good, she's as well-adjusted as one can hope. The fact that her magical addiction had been cured by the restoration of the Sunwell helped, as well as no longer using another living creature for her power.
Tagging along with Lera, Celdori participates in no small number of world-saving events. These include, but are not limited to: stopping a dragon called "Deathwing", witnessing the rise of an old emperor on an island full of anthropomorphic dragons and killing him before moving on to helping defeat the current Warchief of the Horde, traveling back in time to an alternate universe version of the planet Draenor and dealing with demons, before returning to Azeroth in time for an invasion of an entire demon army.
Oh, and she becomes a full Blood Knight at some point along this wild ride.
It's when the Burning Legion β the said demon army β invades that Celdori begins to come into her own: she is personally entrusted with a sword of great power named Ashbringer and eventually becomes the leader of the paladins of Azeroth. The reformed Silver Hand with Celdori as its Highlord battles the Burning Legion on Azeroth and, eventually, in space.
Eventually the planet gets stabbed by the leader of the demon army, and Celdori breaks her sword trying to keep it from killing the planet. The Alliance and the Horde start fighting again, someone burns down a tree and kills innocents, and really β at this point she's just along for the ride. Recently, however, all that's come to a head and passed. The Horde is at peace once more, and now Celdori is justβ¦ waiting for whatever happens next.
PERSONALITY:
If there's one word to describe Celdori, it's "bubbly". She's cheerful, upbeat, and with a knack of getting herself in and out of trouble through her blatant disregard for personal boundaries. She's only got the one life, and she's going to enjoy it as much as she can β other people should too! Youthful exuberance is the name of the game, and she's obnoxiously friendly with everyone she meets. Making friends and harassing them in the name of good fun is great, and Celdori attempts to be as much of a bright, obnoxious ray of sunshine as possible.
it's a better option than wallowing in her anger, fear, and sadness.
Beneath the sunny exterior is a woman who watched her entire family and the majority of her entire race die in horrific ways. Her younger sibling drowned on a boat meant to carry them to safety, her older siblings died while trying to pull her to safety β the undead tearing them apart in front of her. Her mother vanished on a routine patrol before the Scourge destroyed Silvermoon, and her father has never been heard from or found since it fell.
Celdori has trudged through her feelings of resentment and anger with help to come out on the other side resembling something of a functional being, but it's not difficult to see flashes of it if one catches her off guard. The Light is important to her, and injustice must be answered swiftly and with strength; in those moments it's clear that there is more to her than cheerful bubbly youth. Furthermore, Celdori tends to avoid talking about the fall of Silvermoon's impact on her as an individual. Vague terms are easier to cope with, and what happened to her personally is something she is extremely reluctant to talk about or share with others. Getting her to admit she was in the thick of it is a near-impossible task, but it's not impossible to piece together.
But for all her youthful demeanor and trauma, Celdori is dedicated. To the Blood Elves, to the Horde, to the Blood Knights and the Silver Hand, to her friends β no one is going to separate her from those she cares about ever again. She bears her responsibilities to the organizations as best she can, and takes her oaths and loyalty to each group seriously in spite of her carefree attitude. For a woman who's had all of her stability and support stripped away at a young age, keeping the connections she's made since is vital for her to continue on, and she will defend each until she's no longer capable of doing so. Blood elves are resilient as a whole, and Celdori is no different.
She is not, however, the most responsible individual. Ask her and she'll say her status as Azeroth's champion and leader of the paladin order is by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She is, after all, incredibly young for someone of her race; it's unknown when a blood elf is considered an 'adult', but the race tends to live for a few thousand years. She makes mistakes, doesn't think twice about who her mistakes might hurt, and accepts being put in charge with a shrug the overwhelming acknowledgment that she is making it up as she goes, and would anyone else like to be in charge for a bit?
Yet underneath that is someone who is quite talented. Celdori can wield the Light exceptionally well, and with a well-informed support network makes quite a capable leader when she puts her mind to it. There is a lot of promise in her and everyone is willing to give her the credit she's earned over the years; they just wish she wasn't so damned young sometimes.
Of course, through all that, she is still a blood elf β which means that by turns she can be snobbish, materialistic, and haughty. All while still being bright and cheerful about it; she doesn't really mean any harm by putting down things she deems as ugly or gross, it's just how her culture is. There's a deep desire for the finer things in life, for things to be expensive and to her tastes, that she can't shake. Sure, it might make her a blinding mass of glowing gold and red, but that's just part of being a blood elf.
Overall, Celdori is a bubbly individual who hides a fair amount of trauma under her cheerful exterior. Her useful exuberance and stuck-up nature can make her off-putting, but her deep devotion to groups and causes balances it out.
Probably.
ABILITIES/SKILLS:
+ Paladin; Celdori is a paladin, which means she has access to various skills and abilities that allow her to protect, attack, and heal as needed. While she primarily runs around with a very large two-handed sword, a meditation and the associated weaponry will let her access her other specializations, as it were. Her current skills include a substantial self-heal, a temporary invincibility bubble, and a move with her sword that sends out a wake of flame from her.
INVENTORY/COMPANIONS:
+ one set of armor.
+ sword; the broken ashbringer.
+ bags; holding various odds and ends such as scrap metal, a hearthstone, some pearls, and an urn holding the ashes of the former warchief.
+ heart of azeroth; a necklace containing the hardened blood of the planet.
+ highlord's charger; her horse. it will not fly in fellden.
FACTION CHOICE: Court of Stars.
REASON: Celdori acts by impulse and is driven by the overwhelming hope for a better day tomorrow. And if not tomorrow, then the next day. Her gut has never steered her wrong, and she fully believes that doing what you believe in, what your heart tells you the moment it tells you, is the best option.
TATTOO: Over her breastbone.

ALRIGHT so how many of you here have experience with people just deciding you can solve all their problems? and then once you do you can't get them to, you know, keep from messing everything up for ten minutes? because i know how this is going to go.
EMPEROR: thank you, celdori (that's me) for all your hard work, here is a handful of gold and another pair of bracers
CELDORI, CHAMPION OF THE HORDE AND HIGHLORD OF THE SILVER HAND: gee, thanks! say, you wouldn't happen to have a helmet or something? the one i've got is pretty oldβ
EMPEROR: no. how dare you speak to me
CELDORI, CHAMPION OF THE HORDE AND HIGHLORD OF THE SILVER HAND: oβkay, i'll be seeing you, then!
THREE MINUTES LATER
EMPEROR: the peace has been broken! i have ordered my forces to attack, undoing all the hard work that celdori (me!) has done! victory for the court of stars! lok'tar ogar!!
it's going to go exactly like that, mark my words. this sort of thing always does, in between all the running errands for people who don't want to go out and kill ten crabs for themselves. can't really blame them, i guess.
anyway, hi, i'm celdori brightreaver, and i'm really sick of people not being able to manage their own issues. let's talk. i don't really care what side you're on, all of this faction stuff is so old.
